The Ministry of Milton & Eneida Alvarez

On March 4th, Eneida and I flew to Huntsville, TX to be part of the Weekend of Champions Prison Ministry. The first day was Friday, March 6th, it was an early rising at 6:00 a.m. to prepare to go to our scheduled units. On this day, Igot to minister at two units, which were the Holiday Unit in the morning, and the Hospital Unit in the evening. Many were touched and healed by the power of God through our testimonies and prayers. Saturday, we entered the Byrd Unit and saw many come to the Lord. It was a very productive weekend as in total over 1400 decisions for the Lord. The blessing this weekend was to have Eneida there ministering alongside with me. We also got to spend two extra nights in Houston, and this gave us the time to catch up on sleep and rest that we needed.

New York City

April 2009

On Tuesday, April 7th I flew to Manchester, NH and then took a five hour car ride to New York City. I arrived in New York City that evening at 8:00 p.m., and stayed with our host Adolfo and Patricia Osso. Patricia is our contact at the United Nations who we had prophecied over about her diplomatic post three years ago. In New York City, we worked with the FGBMFI to open new chapters in the city. On Wednesday and Thursday we had various meetings in the Bronx, and on Thursday I was given the opportunity to give my testimony at the United Nations. This was God inspired as many were touched by the Spirit of God, and it opened big doors for future engagements. Two ladies who were present at the meeting were from TBN, and invited me to do a future television program on “Praise the Lord.” God does greater things than we can hope or imagine. On Friday, we held meetings again, and I also got to offer my testimony at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriot with the FGBMFI. Also on Friday, I was able to attend a Good Friday service at Morningstar Chuch in Manhattan. The church is on fire for God. The pastor Bruce Ho, is from Hawaii. We got to pray for a young couple after the service, and they were both radically touched by the Spirit of God. Later that evening, I had the privilege of speaking on a Christian radio program in New Jersey. The station, WNCA, is run by Pastor Leighton Smith, who has a church on Wall Street in Manhattan. The response was awesome, as many people called in for prayer and healing. On Saturday morning, at 5:00 a.m. it was a long drive back to Manchester where I caught my return flight back to Portland.

Australia

April 2009

On Wednesday, April 15th, we flew from Portland to San Francisco to Los Angeles, and onto Melbourne, Australia. I was privileged to have Joel Mattila along with me to minister with me in Australia. The flight was a long one, 15 hours total, arriving in Melbourne on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Friday was our rest day to catch up on our sleep. On Sunday, April 19th, we had two powerful services, at 10:00 a.m. I ministered at The Faith Alive CC church who is pastored by Kapao from the Cook Islands. I previously ministered with him 3 years ago on a youth crusade at Roratonga. The service was very anointed as many people were healed in delivered by the power of God. Many in the service saw the angels appearing. Joel was given the opportunity to minister at another Cook Islander church. On Sunday at 6:00 p.m. we were at our next service with Josephine Hollway at the Lyre Bird CC. Here we saw the power of God come down, and many who were in bondage to addictions were instantly set free. This church meets the needs of many addicts and homeless, and it was wonderful to see the Lord touch the least. On April 20th, Monday, I got to meet with Pastor Rene Lopez, at Emmanuel Church which opened up many doors for future ministry.

We began our second week of ministry on Wednesday, April 22nd, we were able to go to the famous Victoria Market to do our shopping, and on the way we handed out numerous tracts in the downtown area. At 7:30 that evening, we were back to The Beulah Church to minister to the rehab group again. On Thursday, April 23rd, we ministered at the men’s group at City Wide Church. It is located in Tullamarine County. Here we had an awesome service with powerful revelation from the Word of God. Here we saw 16 men totally transformed by the power of God.

On Friday, April 24th, we did a combined service at Emmanuel Church. Here we saw more than 75 youth attend the meeting and be blessed by Joe Mattila’s teaching on evangelism. We got to pray for the youth and saw 5 give their lives to the Lord and many deliverances. Saturday, April 25th, I got to go back to Emmanuel Church to do a service in English and Mandarin, and we saw 3 people who recently immigrated from China accept the Lord. This was a powerful service as the translation took a little longer than we thought. In the end, God blessed many people. On Sunday, April 26th, we had the most powerful meeting in all of our time in Australia. The service was held at Spanish City Life Church, here Pastor Attila Siha blessed us with an open meeting in which we saw the power of the Holy Spirit come down like never before. After the praise and worship there was no preaching as people ran up in repentance and deliverance, and we saw many people healed and lives totally changed. The meeting went on for a good three hours, and when it was over, nobody wanted to go home. This just shows you the hunger that people have for the living God.

During the service, many saw the angels appearing and the fire of the Holy Ghost was clearly evident as many were touched and changed. This church will never be the same, as God made a permanent indentation in their spiritual lives. On Wednesday, April 29th, we did personal ministry for friends and family. We were able to minister at The Box Hill Hospital with Hilda Samuels, and in the evening with our good friend, Pablo Riegosa. Here we got to minister to his son who was powerfully impacted by hearing our testimonies.

On Thursday, April 30th, we left our hosts Bannon and Winnie who so graciously blessd us during our time in Melbourne. At 6:00 a.m. we were picked up by Alexandra Bekiaris, who produced an academy-nominated movie entitled “Most” a few years ago. This movie was filmed on Christian ethics and is a powerfully impacting view of the lifestyle of Jesus.

One of the most unusual things about flying back from Australia is you arrive home earlier than when you leave. We left at 11:30 a.m. from Melbourne and arrived at 9:40 a.m. at LAX on the same day.
